Yuri's Night 2010 Banner

NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and the Space Generation Advisory Council have joined forces for an explosive event like you’ve never experienced—a World Space Party. On Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 8 p.m.–1 a.m., Goddard’s Visitor Center in Greenbelt, Md. will transform into a club with a future-tech twist. The night air will be filled with infused beats spun by DJ Scientific and live music from Bellflur. Beer and wine specials will be available all night. Check out video and images from Yuri's Night DC 2009. Hundreds celebrated humanity’s achievements in space at Yuri’s Night DC in 2009, don’t miss this year’s event; it will be even more charged!

Sci-fi attire is encouraged at Yuri’s Night! Enter the costume contest and you could win a t-shirt from ThinkGeek.com.

Star Wars enthusiasts representing the Empire and the Rebel Alliance will patrol Yuri’s Night. Accurate replicas of Star Wars droids (including R2-D2!) built by the Washington, DC Metro Area R2-D2 Builders Club will trundle around the party.

NASA Astronaut Roger Crouch will be a special guest at Yuri's Night 2010. Get to know him while he mingles early on in the party and then grab a friend and compete against him during a friendly galactic game show.

Yuri's Night DC is open to the public. Space party goers must be at least 21 years old. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Admission to Yuri’s Night is $15 at the door. A driver's license (or other government issued ID) is required for entry into Yuri’s Night.

Yuri’s Night World Space Parties celebrate humanity’s achievements in space. Each April, parties around the world mark the anniversary of mankind’s first foray into space (April 12, 1961) and the first Space Shuttle flight (April 12, 1981). Goddard hosted Yuri’s Night DC in 2008 and 2009.
